Ok everyone, do me a favor. Go to http://soxfaninnycdummy.blogspot.com. I've got a new template I am fooling around with, and I need feedback. Labels: blogging |

Cute new design, definitely. I think it depends what you're going for: in my opinion, sometimes a more aesthetically pleasing site takes away from people reading your site for content, but "keeps up" with the technological savvy that other bloggers desire to see, whereas a more simplistically designed site lends itself to people reading and responding to it for its content. Ooh, that's the teacher in me coming out. Either way, I will still remain an enthusiastic reader of yours!

I love the banner. Very nice.
I've been wanting to update my template, as well, but just haven't had the time or energy to do so.

Thanks, LM! The main reasoning behind the new design is because the links I keep on the right are just getting entirely too long. I really want a three column blog just for organizational purposes, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do that with this template. I really only have two requirements for a new design: I want a photo logo at the top and three columns. Oh and I need to know how the hell to use it. I'm not that technologically savy at ALL :)
Girlie - yay you're back from vacation! And probably tanned and shit too, huh? Hmm, now I'm just jealous. You're right, chaning templates is COMPLETELY time consuming. I should be packing right now, instead, I'm playing with my blog. Good lord I am a dork.

I like it Kim! Go for it!!

I like it - I always thought there should be a picture of NYC on top.
-
I like it alot...too bad you couldn't find one that flickers from NYC to Fenway park images....

A Grand Idea, FiNY!
I may just change my template as well.

I like the new template - it looks good.
Issues: when clicking on the date/time stamp, a new window opens (instead of keeping you in the current window) and the text of the comments is very hard to read (link). The footer text is really hard to read too.

Hey Beej, thanks for the feedback. Since I've got MOST of the issues worked out, I've implemented the template here now. I can't for the life of me figure out how to fix the issues you've mentioned, but I'll toy around with it somehow.

Jesus - look at you getting all fancy. And you say I have too much time on my hands!

Thanks, kate! I got the permanent link to open in the same page now ... just need to figure out how to get a background on the comments so you can see them!

It does seem a little buy to be honest though. It looks VERY cool, but I think there is so much going on visually that it takes away from your words a little bit. It does look REALLY damn cool though :-)

I guess I'm just going to have to wait it out and see if the new template works out. Hopefully you all will keep reading despite the visual distractions :)

I'm just too easily distracted and have a miniscule concentration span - somewhat like our starting left-fielder
